This 7-days photo tour will take place from 11 to 17 May 2025 and will allow you to capture the essence of Tuscan spring colors accompanied, guided and instructed by professional photographer Jonathan Giovannini.
DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
Spring is certainly one of the most colorful and full of morning fog seasons.
The landscapes change completely, wrapped in thick layers of fog, with green terrains and incredible light effects that make the hills even more mystical.
Tuscany is certainly one of the most beautiful regions from this point of view. Rich in sinuous hills with unique shapes and beautiful farmhouses that rise above them. In the area of the Val d’Orcia and the Crete Senesi you can find quite varied scenarios that allow you to take beautiful photos at all focal lengths.
WHAT WE MEAN BY PHOTO TOUR:
In our opinion, these events have a very specific purpose. We will make our knowledge in the photographic field available to offer an intense, useful experience with the utmost respect for nature. We will exploit the knowledge of the territory to provide the highest level from a photographic point of view, studying every lighting situation and every shooting point. During our tours the basics of landscape photography will be discussed, we will talk about the territory to take advantage of every hour of light. You will be followed by the settings in the camera until the shooting phase. We will talk about your shots and we will deepen your knowledge on post-production software, learning new techniques in order to optimize your shots with particular attention to file customization, detail optimization, light and contrast management and color corrections. The purpose of these events is to train you through our experience, leaving a wealth of knowledge sufficient to cultivate this passion everywhere and with excellent photographic results.
We will be based in Val d’Orcia and then touch the locations that best lend themselves to being immortalized during this season. Being in a central position we could move between the various spots, spread over 30km in order to take advantage of every photographable corner.
The tour experience will begin with an initial theoretical explanation, to prepare and introduce the participants to the tutor’s approach to landscape photography, explain compositional rules, photographic techniques, advice and everything needed to make quality photographs.
RECOMMENDED PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT:
This itinerary offers a great experience from a photographic point of view, therefore any equipment is sufficient to bring home great shots. The advice is to bring with you a wide angle (for example 15-30mm), a medium telephoto (for example 24-70mm) and a zoom (70-200), if you have a superzoom is also a good choice (for example 100-400 or 150-600). Be sure to have with you a tripod.
